Bronzing on a budget!

As the general theory goes, a tanned complexion equals health and wellness, as the summer months are upon us we are all looking for the perfect product to achieve that golden glow. With the advances in technology combined with the number of new fake tan product launches every year, self-tanning is more popular than ever.

There has never been a better time to fake it.

Whether winter or summer, we can now have a golden tan all year round.
With the incidence of skin cancer rising every year in the UK, I for one am constantly seeking alternatives to lying out in the sun or under a sunbed.
The number of self-tanning products on the market now is astounding and the launch activity shows no sign of slowing down with so many products on the market it's hard to distinguish what's hot and what's not.

Michelle Feeney, CEO of market leading self-tan brand, St Tropez says:
“Self-tanning continues to be the fastest growing beauty treatment in the UK, generating revenues of close to £100m – and despite the recession, sales of St Tropez products and services were up by 20%”
At an eye watering £25 for 240ml of Tanning Mouse it's not surprising really.

I've always been a fan of St Tropez and I continue to use the products to this day.
(Their matte bronzer is one of the best on the market and a staple in my professional kit)
I am not shy on spending money on a product that works, I see it as a long term investment, the St Tropez range has always been one of those ranges for me.

But a few months ago I was introduced to a brand that (admittedly) I initially turned my nose up at....

St Moriz (A St Tropez dupe - obviously!)

I was really reluctant to trial this product, at approx £2.99 for 200ml I was more than a little apprehensive, but in the name of research I threw caution to the wind a decided to give it a go.
WOW!

For me, this has been one of the biggest beauty discoveries in a long time. It's not very often you find a much cheaper version of  such and amazing and expensive product
REALLY - Put this in a St Tropez bottle and I couldn't tell them apart.  I was amazed.
Even down to the ingredients this product is very similar.

It's applies and wears just as good, if not better than the St Tropez version.

A massive saving of £22!

I applied the St Moriz with my St Tropez tanning mitt, it was quick and easy to apply, and pretty fool proof and as if it couldn't get any better, it didn't smell like fake tan, yes it has a slight smell but it's quite pleasant.
It dried quickly, lasted about 5 days (I also have a hot bubble bath every evening) it didn't dry out my skin like some tans do, even when it wears off, it does so gradually (no patching or flaking)
You can also re-apply within the 5-7 days to intensify the tan.
You can purchase St Moriz on ebay and I've also seen it in Tesco recently, but you can also buy it in the cheapo home ware shops, like Home Bargains and B&M's. (I think this was part of my initial reservation, thinking it cant be that good if it was so cheap and sold in some of these discount stores)

This is a new MUST HAVE product for the summer!

Have you tried St Moriz?  What did you think?

What's your favourite brand of fake tan?
